BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER – LONDON – PERMANENT Job Title: Business Development Manager Location: National (UK Wide) Contract: Permanent Salary: £45,000 Basic + Commission + Company Car + Tech Package Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday The business has 10 years of knowledge and a wealth of experience in assisting universities and private accommodation providers with full facilities management services. We hold contracts with many major universities year after year and design tailored programmes to meet demanding timescales. Our national operations cater to individual services or integrated solutions. Clients choose us for our positive attitude, understanding of their challenges, and the quality of our service delivery. With a national portfolio of over 21 universities and leading private accommodation providers, the business is expanding its services to offer full FM support. To drive this growth, we are seeking a Business Development Manager who will report directly to the Sales Director. The successful candidate will be responsible for securing new business with a consultative approach and should have a proven record of generating significant revenues. What you’ll do: As a Business Development Manager, you will be instrumental in the growth of the business by securing new business and driving revenue. Key responsibilities include: * Lead Generation: Generate leads and maintain regular contact with prospects to build a strong pipeline. * Sales Pipeline: Convert leads into sales, achieving a target of £1 million in the first year. * Client Engagement: Present service offerings to decision-makers, addressing client needs and ensuring satisfaction. * Industry Knowledge: Stay updated on industry developments to identify new opportunities. * Sales Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve the sales process. * Revenue Management: Create and manage weekly/monthly forecasts, ensuring targets are met and reporting performance. * Marketing Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing department to develop campaigns for relevant prospects. * Networking: Attend conferences, events, and trade shows to expand networks and increase brand awareness. * Self-Sourcing: Conduct market research to self-generate leads. What You Bring: The ideal candidate will have: * A proven track record in new business development, ideally within the cleaning industry. * Experience in account development and strategic planning. * Strong management skills with adaptability and a consultative approach. * A self-starter attitude with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * Willingness to travel UK-wide to meet business needs.
