Picking and Packing Operative

KPI Recruiting are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Picking and Packing Operative to join our client’s busy printing company based in Birmingham. This role involves the collation of printed materials, preparing customer orders for shipment, and performing general warehouse duties, including waste management. You will work from Monday to Friday, 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM, earning £11.44 per hour. Key Responsibilities: Collation of Printed Materials: Sort and organize printed flyers, brochures, and adverts in the correct order for packaging or binding. Ensure accurate quantities of materials are picked according to customer orders. Operate basic machinery or tools for collating materials as needed. Picking and Packing: Accurately pick products from inventory for packing and dispatch. Securely pack printed materials and label packages appropriately for delivery. Meet daily and weekly targets for order processing. General Warehouse Duties: Assist with receiving and storing materials in the warehouse. Maintain a clean and organized workspace. Perform general waste management duties, including recycling paper and managing bins. Health and Safety: Adhere to health and safety regulations and company procedures. Safely operate machinery and handling equipment when necessary. Quality Control: Conduct basic quality checks on printed materials to ensure no defects. Report any quality or printing issues to supervisors. Key Skills and Experience: Previous experience in a printing, warehouse, or packaging environment (preferred). Strong attention to detail, especially when sorting or collating materials. Ability to work well in a team and meet deadlines. Basic understanding of warehouse operations.
