Interim Director of Operations

Role: Interim Director of Operations Location: East of England (Hybrid) Contract: Fixed Term, 3-6 months Salary: VSM We are supporting our client, an NHS Trust based in East England, in their search for an Interim Director of Operations. This role is responsible for delivering optimal outcomes for service users and the local health population within available resources. As the Interim Director of Operations, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the operational management of the Trust. Your responsibilities will include ensuring the development and delivery of locality group operational objectives, such as performance, resource efficiency, and workforce management, aligned with geography, specialty areas, and the Trust's clinical strategy. Key Responsibilities: Delivering quality services across the core dimensions of safety, effectiveness, and patient experience Developing strategic plans in line with the overall Trust strategy Managing the performance of all services to meet local and national performance targets and standards Ensuring clinical engagement and taking responsibility for governance, safety, and risk management Adopting a commercial and business-oriented approach to services, recognising and adapting to the needs of their customers Providing leadership, support, and advice to leadership teams, managers, and staff This role demands extensive experience at a senior management level within a healthcare organisation, as well as significant experience in leading transformation that results in lasting change and improvement. A proven track record of successfully managing complex change across services, and effectively involving and supporting teams and individuals to achieve their objectives, is essential.
