Transport Planner

Transport Planner Position Overview Within this role you will assist in managing total planning operations and managing drivers on a daily basis. You will be the senior figure in the Planning team and report directly to the Transport Manager. Based in New Mills. The responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following - To conduct end of shift handover as applicable To plan all drivers working on the day. Issuing instructions to departments and ensuring that all work is executed as planned - ensuring that planning systems are updated and all necessary system changes are actioned in real time. To ensure that all work is planned and amalgamated wherever possible, reducing the resources needed to execute the work. To ensure all collection and delivery times planned throughout the day and managed accordingly Ensure service levels are met as a minimum To control vehicles ensuring any major changes are re planned as required to meet customer demands. To ensure continual review of the day's workload as the day progresses. To answer all customer queries, involving your Manager where necessary. To ensure empty running is reduced to a meet Company targets.
