Fantastic company benefits include: Competitive Salary: On offer is a starting salary of £30,000 - £32,000 per annum Holiday: 25 days holiday plus bank holidays Free Parking Pension contribution About the role: We are seeking a proactive Bookkeeper/Accounts Controller to join our team. This position is pivotal in ensuring financial accuracy and efficiency. You will handle a broad range of accounting tasks including expenditure reviews, cash flow monitoring, and VAT control. Extensive collaboration with our Country Manager and Head Office in Turkey is required, aiding in strategic financial planning, audit preparations and various tasks. Your working hours will be Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm with some out of hours flexibility and this is a fully office-based role. Main duties and responsibilities: Work and coordinate with the sharing of data with external accountants to prepare management accounts Identify unnecessary spending and enforce financial controls Oversee cash flow, VAT compliance, and bookkeeping Manage accounts payable and receivable Prepare financial reports and support audits Maintain SAP B1 systems and financial records Handle payroll and pension schemes Establish new suppliers/customers with thorough pre-authorisation checks Answer calls and manage the telephone system for accounts Manage the shipment of items to suppliers, customers, and sites Perform daily bank reconciliations, resolving any discrepancies promptly Process purchase invoices, resolve discrepancies, and ensure timely payments About you: You have extensive experience with SAP B1 (or similar), Microsoft Office, and Teams. Your strong record-keeping and attention to detail are matched by your methodical thinking and proactive time management skills. You are capable of handling confidential information with integrity. Previous experience in similar roles is essential.
