About the Role

They are looking for a passionate, experienced and self-motivated IT and Business Project Manager who will have the opportunity to make a difference! The ideal candidate for the role must have solid experience in understanding project methodologies such as Agile and Waterfall, software delivery timescales and planning as well as resource planning and time management. They expect the IT and Business Project manager to have a level of business and commercial acumen to succeed in this role in order to work effectively with partners and customers, understanding timescales and managing deadlines.


Core Responsibilities

  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, milestones, deliverables, and timelines.
  • Coordinate project activities, monitor progress, and adjust plans as needed.
  • Ensure alignment with business objectives and stakeholder expectations.
  • Allocate resources efficiently to maximise productivity.
  • Collaborate with department heads to secure necessary resources.
  • Mitigate resource bottlenecks and optimize utilisation.
  • Be the guardian of project timelines.
  • Set clear expectations with team members and stakeholders.
  • Proactively identify risks to deadlines and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Understand the software development life cycle (SDLC).
  • Collaborate with development teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
  • Balance technical excellence with business needs.
  • Handle conflicts professionally and constructively and facilitate resolution when disagreements arise.
  • Maintain a positive team atmosphere while addressing challenges head-on.
  • Communicate project status, risks, and achievements to executives, sponsors, and team members.
  • Present complex information in a clear, concise manner.
  • Advocate for project needs relentlessly and find creative solutions when faced with obstacles.


Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours:

  • Proven experience managing IT projects (enterprise software, infrastructure, or digital transformation).
  • Strong project planning and execution skills.
  • Resilience in the face of challenges.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  • PMP, PRINCE2, or other project management certifications.
  • Familiarity with agile and waterfall methodologies.
  • Experience in financial services, healthcare, or other regulated sectors.
  • Stakeholder management skills
  • Great people skills and ability to see and consider the views of others
  • Ability to suggest new ideas, with openness and flexibility
  • Good skills in email and office applications
  • 5+ years in IT or Business Project Management
  • A degree and/or experience in a similar role with a similar technology company advantageous
