Job summaryThis is an exciting opportunity to work alongside a highly skilled team working with young people and their loved ones whilst experiencing a first episode of psychosis. This is a rare opportunity for a fixed term contract or secondment opportunity. Full support, clinical and managerial supervision will be provided on a monthly basis and opportunities for development and additional training may be available. If applying for a secondment, approval from your current Manager MUST be sought before applying.The role will involvev Management of a caseload of people with complex mental health and social care needs, using evidence-based practice to assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions and document these in accordance with local and national standards and guidance. v Care-coordination responsibilities for an agreed number of clients on the first episode and extended assessment pathway within the team. v To participate in the initial assessment of people referred to the team with suspected first episode psychosis. v To participate in the operational systems and the development of the Early Intervention team. v To provide leadership for junior staff, multi-disciplinary support staff and learners. Training , Experience, knowledge & skills Essential Registered mental health nurse or equivalent in Social work Post registration experience. Recent experience working in either adult mental health or CAMHS. Knowledge of and ability to undertake regular assessment and management of clinical risk High level interpersonal skills for effective working relationships and clinical effectiveness Desirable Working in a community setting and lone working Significant experience of work in a range of mental health settings Experience of working with people with early onset psychosis and their Families. Knowledge of evidence and value based interventions for people psychosis and co-occurring conditions Person Specification other Essential Ability to travel in a timely manner throughout the borough of GMMH.
