Grid Connections Manager

Grid Connections Manager - 6 month rolling contract - Outside IR35 - Monday - Friday - Hybrid (Midlands) I am looking for a Grid Connections Manager who will be responsible for the design of the grid connections , interfacing with the customer and lead the delivery of grid connections for the clients projects. I am looking for someone to start as soon as possible who has National Grid or DNO experience. You must have hands on experience and understand DNO / National Grids assets. The Role : Manage and contribute to the portfolio of projects and schemes throughout development Collaborate with the project team to ensure development of the project and hit project milestones Interface with National Grid/DNO and the client Assist with the connections applications Developing the cable routes on the land to the points of connection Managing the grid connections and developing them alongside the land and planning colleagues Carry out feasibility studies across the projects and identify the associated risks Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and policies for future connections Lead the delivery of grid connections for the projects on a utility scale Experience: Experience in the transmission and distribution industry is desired Experience working in the renewables sector with electrical design and engineering 7 years’ experience working for National Grid or a DNO Must have an Electrical Engineering background A solid understanding of the technical specifications relating to the substations and National Grid Experience in managing and designing renewable generation plants Experience in operating National Grid assets Have a basic understanding on land applications and contracts Experience working on projects from 132kV to 400kV Logistics: Hybrid option (minimum of 2 days in the office) ASAP start date 6 month rolling contract Monday - Friday A professional working day Day rate , outside IR35 If you are working for a DNO/National Grid, with the described skill set and are looking for a new opportunity with a developer within the renewables sector then please contact me and send your CV to [email protected] and book in a call with me
