Job Title: Estimator Location: Leeds Thorn Baker has teamed up with a leading civil engineering contractor. From sustainable remediation techniques to bulk earthworks and infrastructure projects, they work on construction contracts ranging from £100,000 to £20 million and are looking for an Estimator to support them with their growth in demand. What's in it for you: Competitive salary commensurate with experience Opportunities for career growth and development in a dynamic, collaborative, and supportive work environment Company Pension Contribution Your Responsibilities: Working under the direction, guidance, and supervision of the Pre-Contracts Manager (PCM) Role requires assisting with quantity take-off for tender preparations Undertake site visits to assist with tender preparations Issue enquiries through tender stage for materials and sub-contracts Complete tenders for small/medium projects under guidance of PCM Producing material schedules and sub-contractor BoQs for Operations Teams from successful tenders Required Skills: Minimum of 5 years' experience as an estimator in the civil engineering sector or construction industry. Competent in use of MS Excel and MS Word Have a working experience of electronic take-off from pdf drawings High attention to detail and accuracy in preparing estimates and documentation.
