Location: Secondary School, Wakefield Start Date: September 2024 Contract: Full-time Accelerate Teaching is seeking a dedicated and passionate Teacher of English to join a dynamic secondary school in Wakefield. Role Overview: As a Teacher of English, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and high-quality lessons that inspire students to achieve their full potential. You will work closely with a team of educators to foster a love of literature and language while promoting critical thinking and effective communication skills. Key Responsibilities: Deliver well-planned and innovative English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4. Develop and implement strategies to ensure high levels of student engagement and achievement. Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their development. Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the English curriculum and share best practices. Contribute to the school's wider activities and ethos, including extracurricular programmes.Person Specification: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with relevant experience in teaching English. Strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for literature and language. Excellent communication and organisational skills. Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
