About Us: We are recruiting for a leading company specialising in the design, manufacture, supply, and installation of structural and architectural steelwork. Projects span across multiple sectors including stadiums, education, offices, commercial, industrial, car parks, residential, and architectural metalwork like balconies, balustrading, and staircases. Due to our growing order book, we are looking for a motivated Design Co-Coordinator to join our team. Role Overview: As a Design Co-Coordinator, you will manage and lead the design process from pre-construction to project completion, coordinating between internal teams and external clients such as architects, engineers, and contractors. A strong understanding of 3D design detailing and construction within the structural and architectural steel industry is essential. Key Responsibilities: * Lead design coordination from pre-construction to final completion. * Liaise with contractors, architects, and engineers on all design matters. * Prepare and submit technical queries (TQs) and requests for information (RFIs). * Work closely with site managers to develop design packages. * Distribute and monitor workloads for in-house and subcontract detailers. * Attend and contribute to Design Team Meetings. * Ensure compliance with construction programs, design standards, and building regulations (ISO 9001, BS EN 1090, NSSS, Eurocodes). * Generate 3D TEKLA models and assist the Estimating team with material take-offs (MTOs) and tonnage calculations. * Provide support to the project management and site teams. * Manage the production of fabrication packages and resolve any design issues with fabricators and installation teams. The Ideal Candidate Will Have: * 2-5 years of experience in structural and architectural steel fabrication for the construction industry. * Strong experience in coordinating design within technical teams. * Proficiency in 3D design detailing and knowledge of TEKLA software. * Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Strong communication skills across all levels. * A keen eye for detail and compliance with industry standards and regulations. Remuneration & Benefits: * Standard working hours: Monday to Thursday, 8am - 5pm. * Early finish on a Friday 8am-4pm * Opportunity to work with a growing and dynamic team in an exciting industry
