We are on the lookout for a highly skilled and determined Repair Lift Engineer to join our dynamic team. Job Purpose:

Our Service Department currently manages more than 650 units, with plans for significant growth. As a Repair Lift Engineer, you will lead the charge in troubleshooting and repairing various types of equipment and systems across company contracts and projects. You will provide critical support to your team, requiring flexibility for early starts, late finishes, and potential overnight stays or weekend work.


Basic Qualifications:

  • Education: NVQ Level 3 in Lift Engineering.
  • Experience: Minimum of 6 years in the elevator sector, with a proven track record in a senior position.
  • Professional Qualifications/Certifications: Relevant certifications in lift engineering.
  • IT Skills: Proficient in MS Office.
  • Driver’s Licence: Clean driving licence.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Leadership: Collaborate with site staff and the wider team to ensure smooth project execution. Coordinate with manufacturer technicians and management to align efforts and drive results.
  • Maintenance and Repairs: Lead and execute routine maintenance visits, emergency callouts, and complex repair work. Provide technical diagnostics and mentorship to other engineers.
  • Safety and Compliance: Command a safe work environment by adhering strictly to Health and Safety guidelines. Manage manual handling, heavy lifting, and working at heights in line with safety protocols.
  • Customer Interaction: Engage directly with customers and the public on-site. Build strong relationships, contribute to a customer-focused environment, and support the Repair Sales administration team.
  • Fault Rectification: Quickly and accurately identify and rectify faults using lift manuals and diagrams. Conduct technical surveys and site quality audits to address and prevent issues.
  • Technical Reporting: Maintain high standards in technical reporting and communication. Stay updated on the latest standards and directives in lift engineering, providing technical support and training for your peers.
  • Policy Implementation: Enforce company policies, quality, safety, and environmental systems. Arrange and deliver technical and safety training sessions, including toolbox talks. Handle out-of-hours callouts with efficiency.
