If yes, this is what we can offer you Hourly rate: £13.50-£16.00 Hours of work: A variety of shift patterns including 3 & 4 day working weeks Weekly overtime at an enhanced rate. Enhanced holiday entitlement + additional holidays for length of service Life Assurance Uniform provided Key Responsibilities: Weld and fabricate a range of assembly types to specification, working from fabrication or engineering drawings Carry out quality inspections, identify defects and take appropriate action to rectify them Meet production targets while maximising efficiency Ensuring the safe and controlled movement of production parts Work as part of a team to develop continuous improvement ideas Essential: Demonstrated ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications and measuring tools 2+ years relevant experience Demonstrate good ability in MIG mild steel welding (preferably in heavy engineering) Demonstrate understanding of weld plant and weld parameters Previous experience working in a range of material thicknesses Previous experience in a range of weld positions Previous experience using industry standard hand tools e.g. drills grinders etc. Demonstrate understanding of fabrication and use of jigs Experience of working on own initiative and acting to resolve any issues impacting upon performance Knowledge of Health & Safety Maine Group is committed to equality of opportunity and to selection on merit.
