Our client, a leader in Nuclear Generation require a Procurement Engineer at their site in Torness. Applicants should be able to demonstrate of the following skills/experience: Experience within a Procurement role Posses a strong working knowledge of technical & quality assurance arrangements standards applicable to the procurement of spare parts. Hold a HNC level in an engineering discipline

Role information: Specifying and evaluating nuclear power station spares against original design and the upkeep of the Spares catalogue Develop procurement specifications, in conjunction with Technical Specialists and Purchasers Maintain compliance with all required standards and arrangements applicable to the specification of plant spares. Complete Item equivalency assessments to support changes to components Assist in investigations to find spare part solutions, including parts searches and obsolescence resolution. Carry out Quality Assurance reviews prior to purchase of QA1/2 Spares, including development/reviewing of Quality plans. Carry out Quality Control inspections on key goods being supplied. Advise the wider Purchasing and Warehouse teams to support smooth operation of the Supply Chain Materials processes.
