Global Procurement Manager - IT & Technology | £65,000 to £74,000 | 15% bonus | healthcare | pension | + many more benefits | Central London - 1 day in the office | Globally recognised Media and Broadcasting businessA global media and broadcasting business who have a brand new role, post-merger last year to come and manage some of the companies largest and most complex IT & Professional Services suppliers. 12 to 18 month succession plan in place to become Senior Manager, deputising the Procurement Director.Full IT & Technology category exposure, including: Software, Digital, Media, SaaS, Infrastructure, Networks, Hardware, IS Professional Services and some occasional Corporate Services.You will engage with local MD’s and C-suite stakeholders in your relevant business areas, so deep supplier market knowledge is key.Ideal person, will have experience working for large global, complex and corporate companies where high levels of complex spend have been managed.Role and responsibilities:Create IT strategy through to the delivery and performance including year on year annualised savingsDevelop group wide category plans and strategies to ensure alignment for the group, leveraging suppliers to support local officesSupport the development of global category strategies to a clear and prioritised pipeline of sourcing projectsEngage, manage and influence senior stakeholders from Director to Board level to ensure buy-in, utilising strong market knowledgeBuild relationships with key stakeholders to ensure a rounded knowledge of a suppliers performanceMonitor supplier risk and performance through reporting tools and business feedbackBe a Procurement role model by living company values, consistently delivering to the high standards expected, promoting procurement through relationshipsOn top over delivering strategic projects, ensure the business is getting the best service in line with cost efficiencyExperience and requirements:Deep technical category experience within Technology, covering a wide range of sub-categoriesPrevious experience working on complex global projects, dealing with Tier 1 suppliers of significant valuesConfident in engaging and influencing senior level stakeholders, and across various regionsA highly strategic mindset when approaching procurement, suppliers and business needsWill have a track record of IT category management, effecting change and continuous improvement through implementation of innovative category strategiesExcellent communications skills when dealing with contacts in different cultures and countriesAble to adapt in a very fast paced, continuously changing environmentMCIPS qualified, nice to have but not essential
