Graduate Cashier

Hays are working with a Nottingham client who are recruiting an entry-level cashier into their finance team. This role provides plenty of opportunity for career progression and funded study support for qualifications such as AAT, CIMA, ACA. Your new role Posting cash daily Bank Reconciliations Transfers at the bank (all banks) Daily post to be actioned (cheque/remittances) Daily Banking (taking cash/cheques to branch) Tax Receipts Reviewing and clearing the cashiers inboxes Confirming alias acceptance for all payments received in different names General ad hoc duties What you'll need to succeed Confident, enthusiastic and flexible. An Accounting or similar degree Attention to detail, high level of accuracy and numeracy. A self-starter with the ability to work under their own initiative. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including verbal and written communications. Must be highly self-motivated, mature attitude and pro-active. Takes ownership of responsibilities and drives positive change. Team player with experience in delivering to deadlines. Ability to work under pressure, efficiently and in a timely manner.
