We are working with a leading law firm based in London for an Associate to join their Property, Energy and Construction team.
The Role:
The role involves handling a range of coverage disputes in relation to the energy sector. The successful candidate will assist insurers and reinsurers of major multi-national companies in accordance to their global exposures. The role will involve coverage advice and defend high-value, international and complex claims. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work alongside our client’s market-leading energy team in handling the largest and most complex claims within the sector.
Examples of the type of work our client’s team are involved in include renewables, onshore and offshore, refining and power generation, representing construction and operational insurers on international claims.
Essential Criteria:
- 3-10 years’ PQE. Insurance litigation experience;
- Experience of London market coverage work in Energy. Marine/offshore experience is desirable;
- Ability to take initiative and be proactive;
- Strong communications (both written and verbal);
- Excellent personal time management and organisation skills;
- Strong research and technical skills;
- Great attention to detail.
