Kitchen Assistant

About the Company:

We’re looking for a dedicated Kitchen Assistant/Catering Assistant to support our one of our clients at a school in preparing and serving nutritious meals for students.

About the Role:

Key Responsibilities:

• Assisting with the preparation of food in line with school menus
• Ensuring the kitchen and dining areas are clean and hygienic
• Washing up, cleaning kitchen equipment, and utensils
• Assisting with the serving of meals during lunch periods
• Complying with health and safety regulations, including food safety standards
• Supporting the team with daily kitchen operations as needed

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a kitchen or catering environment (preferred but not essential)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Basic food hygiene knowledge (training can be provided)
• A positive, can-do attitude and willingness to learn
