To be considered for this role, you will live between York and Hull and willing to travel within the Yorkshire area. What will you be doing?  As a Pre-Commissioning Engineer for BES Group Consultancy, you will be responsible for providing pre-commissioning inspection services for pressure equipment and dangerous goods tanks across our customer sites. You will:  Inspect in-service dangerous goods tanks and pressure equipment to establish fit for purpose, or to ensure quality of modifications and repairs  Review quality documentation relating to materials, welding and non-destructive testing for both newly constructed and repaired/modified equipment  Work closely with our Technical Consultancy Head Office team to ensure that technical and commercial information is communicated effectively, contracts are managed appropriately, and billable time is detailed  Manage and deliver specific projects, as well as assisting with the training of our Engineer Surveyors  Carry out detailed reporting, with no compromise, ever  Ensure all customers are compliant with vital regulations that help to govern their industry in the UK  Always provide an exceptional level of customer service, whilst representing our brilliant company professionally  As part of our team, you will get:  A minimum standard starting salary of £50,000 depending on experience  £5,500 annual car cash allowance  Up to 10% pension contribution  2 x life cover  Enhanced maternity / adoption leave  Annual salary review   25 days annual leave plus 8 bank holidays  An additional day’s holiday for your birthday every year  Access to our buy and sell holiday scheme  Opportunity for flexible working  Electric Vehicle salary sacrifice scheme   Discounts and savings via our employee benefits portal  Health and wellbeing support via our Employee Assistance Programme  Company wide volunteering scheme  Fundraising support for your chosen charity  We want you to be you!  Our focus on diversity, equality and inclusion is here to stay.    Our team is made up of some of the most skilled and talented people and that’s what matters to us.  At BES Group, we want our people to know that they can be their true authentic selves at work, it really is that simple.  What’s more, we’re a Real Living Wage employer across our complete business and we are delighted to have pledged our committed to the military community by signing the Armed Forces Covenant.   To be join our team, you will need:   A Level 4 engineering qualification and a substantive level of practical experience, alongside an understanding of the pressure equipment directive  An understanding of pressure equipment (PED / PE(S)R)  Experience of carriage of dangerous goods (CDG / ADR)  Considerable experience inspecting new or repaired/modified construction pressure equipment and dangerous goods tanks within a manufacturing, pharma, nuclear, shipping or other relevant environment  Experience and knowledge of welding processes and procedures, weld inspection and weld defects  To be able to communicate complex and technical problems with ease  A proficient level of IT and literacy skills to complete detailed customer reports.  Go for it!  Research suggests that some people tend to only apply for roles if they meet all requirements.
