Industrial Electrician
Kent and South East Area
Up to £45,000
As a Z-Tech industrial Electrician, you will be working within a small team of technicians carrying out project and programme delivery across sites within the London and south east area (and UK at times). You will be responsible for the delivery of works across a range of UKPN substation sites to include maintenance of electrical systems, attending to any reactive/correct maintenance, fault finding, completing any repairs/replacements, installation of new systems/equipment, commissioning - whilst ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
Works include general maintenance routines, installation and commissioning of electrical /substation communication apparatus, and assisting station engineers with reported defects. Systems include: - Substation LV communication systems (wireless and hardwired) - General Power and Lighting - LV Switchboard Maintenance - Substation auxiliary equipment Disconnection/Re-connections - Ethernet and Telephone systems – Actuators.
What do we need from you?
Experience within heavy industry, preferably from the Power Generation or DNO infrastructure.
Sound experience with electrical installation works, testing and inspection of electrical systems.
Sound experience with industrial PLC/SCADA systems such as Profibus PA and DP or building management
systems.
To understand and comply with all Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental Policies and Legislation.
Requirements:
NVQ Level 3 (Maintenance or Installation)
AM2 : Electrical End Point Assessment
18th Edition Wiring Regulations
Safety passport - IOSH, CCNSG, CSCS etc.
Valid UK driving license
Advantageous:
City and Guilds 2391 Testing and Inspection
