Senior Site Chemist

This role is crucial for ensuring the safe and efficient handling of hazardous and non-hazardous waste, adding value to the business while maintaining strict adherence to regulations. * Salary: £28,000 - £32,000 yearly * Location: Brownhills * Benefits: Competitive package The Role: As a Site Chemist, you will play a key role in managing waste consignments and ensuring regulatory compliance. * Ensure all incoming waste consignments have appropriate paperwork * Complete waste safety checks and regular sampling for internal analysis * Inspect incoming waste to meet BAT requirements * Record waste acceptance and non-conformances using the SAP system * Ensure waste is stored and labelled correctly * Process waste including bulking, sorting, segregating, and re-packing * Provide technical support to other staff members * Act as a site first aider (once trained) * Maintain a clean and tidy work area * Assist other teams as required The Candidate: The ideal Site Chemist will have the following qualifications and skills: * HNC or Degree Level Qualification in Chemistry or a related field * Experience in the Waste Industry (desirable) * SAP experience (desirable) * Competent Microsoft Office user, particularly in Excel * Willingness to work in outdoor conditions in a hazardous chemical environment * Strong leadership and communication skills * Decision-making based on data and evidence * Ability to drive team performance and knowledge sharing The Package: The Site Chemist role offers an attractive package including: An annual salary of £28,000 - £32,000.
