To provide a professional technical support service in order to meet the needs of the programmes, achieve company objectives to comply with relevant OEM and regulative authorities.

Key responsibilities and duties:

  • In a supporting role, maintenance of existing repair instructions and SPM's.
  • Ensure all relevant technical documentation is accurately interpreted and adhered to.
  • Identify opportunities for processes and performance improvement, working practices and team efficiency.
  • Liaise with other departments, as required to ensure customer requirements are met.
  • Process awareness and proactive to reduce turn-times.
  • Ensure that all components are routed to the optimum repair scheme.
  • Responsible for the day-to-day issues arising outside normal repair limits/processes.
  • Identify opportunities for improvements to reduce cost, turn time and improve customer service levels.
  • Feedback and liaisons with other CR Engineering team members.
  • Ensure all documentation is produced accurately and as quickly as possible in line with company procedures, OEM specifications and regulatory agencies whilst maintaining production demands.
  • Ensure records and technical documentation is kept up to date and readily accessible


Other responsibilities:

  • Ensure documentation generated in-house is a clear and accurate interpretation of the original reference data and adheres to the requirements and specifications of said data.
  • Adhere to Health and Safety requirements and regulations
  • Adhere to the Company Information and Protection Policy
  • Comply with statutory requirements and regulations, Company requirements and procedures
  • Carry out any other reasonable request within current competence level
  • Assist in the training of team members ensuring best practice standards are maintained
  • Self-development will be the responsibility of the post-holder. Training and development will be identified and opportunities sought to increase personal effectiveness
  • Maintain positive working relationships with all internal and external departments

  • Additional training/experience in a technical field. (e)
  • Ability to use basic hand tools and have an insight to repair processes utilised within component repair (Machining, Welding, Fabrication, Coatings, Metal Spray and Materials). (e)
  • Familiarity with quality procedures and documentation including process paperwork, parts routing procedures, Engineering Repair Instructions, Detailed Work Instructions and Non-Conformance Report system. (d)
  • Working knowledge of Engine publications and work instructions including overhaul and maintenance manuals, parts catalogues and service bulletins. (Training Provided) (d)


Organisational Relationships:

  • Directly responsible to the Engineering Team Leader.


Professional Qualifications/Education and Training:

  • Engineering apprenticeship
  • Knowledge of Engineering processes
  • Experience in an aerospace environment
  • Understanding of technical drawings
  • PC literate


Experience:

  • Have an engineering background and possess relevant certification (e)
  • Have worked within the industry (d)
