Our Values: Knowledge Driven Unity Location Based in our custom built lab and office, based 10 minutes drive from central Oxford. Responsibilities: Working closely with our development team you will execute lab work following materials synthesis and formulation recipes and characterisation protocols. You will work closely with experienced chemists and materials scientists to progress our products to the next stage of performance. Performing characterisation such as materials properties, optical performance and lifetime. Preparing substrates, materials and samples for characterisation. Reporting results, ensuring lab safety, and maintaining equipment. Completing documentation to a high standard. Track and monitor stock which include chemicals and consumables. Communicate and engage with internal and external stakeholders. Experience and attributes: Minimum HNC/HND, or degree in Chemistry, Materials Science or related disciplines. Experience working with common chemical and optical analytical methods. Capability to follow precise synthetic protocols and ensure reproducibility. Good interpersonal and communications skills, and the ability to work as part of a team and independently. Happy to do repetitive lab work. Good time management and planning skills. Self-motivated, well organised and proactive learner. Advantage: Experience working within industry and/or a chemistry laboratory. Experience with UV visible spectroscopy. Experience with formulation preparation and deposition of resin thin films using spin coating, blade coating, etc.
