Do you have a passion for ensuring excellence in education and training? We are looking for a Quality Lead to take charge of driving high standards across our apprenticeship programmes. Primary purpose of the role: * Support the Work Based Learning Manager to ensure high standards of quality and compliance across the provision for all aspects of all learner’s journeys * Lead internal Quality Assurance (IQA) strategies, plans and activities that reflect the College’s IQA policies. * Support the Work Based Learning Manager with the design and management of all aspects of employer-based training programmes within the area. * Collaborate with the Work Based Learning Manager and Head of Department to ensure a high-quality experience for all stakeholders involved in work-based learning and apprenticeship programmes. * Line manage an agreed caseload of Trainer Assessors to ensure high quality of provision and good practice. * Collaborate with the Work Based Learning Manager and Head of Department to ensure the promotion, knowledge and understanding of Apprenticeship Standards and work-based learning programmes. * Lead in the planning and execution of external quality assurance visits and End Point Assessment for Apprentices. * Contribute to and engage with department self-assessment and quality improvement planning. * Manage an agreed caseload of apprentices or work-based learners in the line with the roles and responsibilities of the Trainer Assessor setting high standards as an example of practice. Responsibilities: * Ensure high standards of compliance with the learner sign up process in line with the College procedures, ensuring that all required documentation is completed efficiently and accurately. * Manage the initial assessment and interview process, liaising with employers to support the apprentice in successful onboarding and ensure that assessment of learners starting points is used in planning and sequencing their learning regarding English, Maths and KSB’s. * Ensure all apprentices have detailed training plans that ensure they make excellent progress towards timely gateway and the achievement of their EPA. * Support the Work Based Learning Manager in ensuring that, for apprentices, off-the job training is effectively calculated, planned and tracked as part of the individual learners training plan and is robustly monitored. * Maintain accurate records for all learners and employers, ensuring timely registration of learners with the appropriate awarding bodies and completing the appropriate learner progression and claims documentation in line with college procedures. * Assist the Work Based Learning Manager and Head of Department with timetabling and case loading the provision within the area. * Collaborate with the Work Based Learning Manager and Head of Department in the development of new apprenticeship standards, qualifications and programmes and support staff in the implementation and delivery of the standards. * Support Work Based Learning Manager in the effective recruitment of apprentices and with employer events, taster days and open days. * Attend and contribute to internal and external meetings as appropriate. Requirements: * Level 3 relevant vocational qualification and relevant vocational CPD. * Level 3 TAQA or Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Qualifications (or equivalent, A1, etc). * Level 3 Internal Quality Assurance Qualification. * Level 4 Leading Internal Quality Assurance Qualification. * Experience of training and assessing within a Further Education or training environment. * Recent assessing experience in the relevant curriculum area. * Experience of dealing with employers in a professional capacity. * Significant experience of conducting assessment processes. * Recent Internal Quality Assurance experience.
