Key Responsibilities: * Provide expert legal advice and representation in all aspects of childcare law, including care proceedings, adoption, and safeguarding matters. * Manage a caseload of complex childcare cases, ensuring timely and effective resolution. * Draft and prepare legal documents, including applications, orders, and care plans. * Represent the local authority in court, advocating for the best interests of children and families. * Collaborate closely with social workers, senior management, and other stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes. * Keep up-to-date with legislative changes and legal precedents affecting childcare law. * Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures within the department.
