Role Overview:
We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic English teacher to join our team starting in January 2025. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching English at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. You will play a key role in shaping our students’ understanding and appreciation of literature and language, preparing them for their GCSEs and beyond.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver engaging and high-quality English lessons to KS3 and KS4 students.
* Develop and implement lesson plans that cater to diverse learning needs.
* Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and support to ensure all students reach their full potential.
* Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the English curriculum and contribute to the school’s overall academic strategy.
* Participate in professional development opportunities and contribute to the school community.
The Ideal Candidate:
* Qualified teacher status (QTS) and a relevant degree in English or a related field.
* Proven experience teaching English at KS3 and KS4, with a track record of helping students achieve excellent results.
* Strong understanding of the English National Curriculum and examination requirements.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate students.
* A proactive and flexible approach to teaching, with a commitment to continuous improvement.
