MANUFACTURING SUPPORT ENGINEER - PERMANENT - SOUTHAMPTON
A high volume manufacturing organisation in Southampton are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Support Engineer to join their team, providing essential support across high-speed manufacturing and plant facilities. This hands-on role requires you to ensure optimal performance and maintenance of production equipment, diagnose and rectify breakdowns, and contribute to process improvements.
This a night shift role working 7pm-7am on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide reactive and preventative maintenance support to manufacturing equipment and facilities.
- Diagnose root causes of equipment failures and restore operations swiftly.
- Work closely with production teams to enhance equipment availability and product quality.
- Perform routine safety checks and equipment calibrations.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and new equipment projects.
Qualifications:
- Time-served apprenticeship in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronic Engineering.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving skills, and working knowledge of PLC systems.
