Main Responsibilities

  • Lead design strategy for sales, insights and marketing materials
  • Ensure all sales, insight and marketing materials meet design standards
  • Continually look to improve materials by seeking and adopting new creative technologies and practices
  • Collaborate internally to deliver high quality sales, insight and marketing materials
  • Work in partnership with other designers, sales, marketing and insight teams to produce materials that appeal to clients and agencies. This will include but is not limited to:
  • Bespoke templates
  • Designed presentations
  • Digital mock-ups (static and animated)
  • Logos
  • Invites
  • Website images
  • Social images
  • One Pagers
  • Event branding
  • Brand Guidelines
  • Primary design resource for DMG Media Comms team
  • Primary design resource for DMG Ventures
  • Primary design resource for DMG Media Services
  • Manage the Brand Design team
  • Engender an environment that is conducive to the generation of creative ideas
  • Promote a high performance culture
  • Develop team through performance conversations and training sessions
  • Manage workload and expectations of the team

Accountable For

  • Supervising and leading the Brand Design team
  • Ensuring that the delivered products or services adhere to the policies and standards of the company
  • Delegating job responsibilities among team members and overseeing that quality work is being completed within the deadline
  • Working in collaboration with colleagues across different departments
  • Working on large projects for senior stakeholders
  • Leading designer on all rebranding projects
  • Managing freelancers when needed
  • Collaborating with the digital design team on new formats, ensuring all mocks are designed in a functioning way
  • Collaborating with the print design team on design consistency for cross-platform response
  • Strategising on future creative strategies in collaboration with the other creative directors

Person Specification

  • Substantial team leadership experience
  • Extensive creative experience in a commercial/marketing environment
  • Strong working knowledge of Adobe Suite: Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, AfterEffects, Acrobat, as well as a good knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Deep understanding of print and digital media

Skills

  • More than eight years of experience in a commercial/marketing environment
  • Excellent creative and innovative skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and effective relationship building capacity with clients, partners, and internal teams at different levels in the organization
  • Detail-oriented and well organized
  • Ability to use strong analytical and artistic approaches to solve complex issues
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and prioritize different tasks
  • Advanced skills in Adobe CC Suite and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to plan, conceptualize, strategize, supervise, and implement graphic design elements effectively.
