IT First Line Support Swadlincote, Derbyshire - £26,321 + 10% performance related bonus Purpose of the Job: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced 1st Line Support Engineer to join our dynamic IT team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing first-class technical support to our clients, ensuring their systems run smoothly and efficiently. Key Responsibilities/Duties: First Point of Contact, respond to technical support queries via phone, email, and chat. Troubleshooting, diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues. Document and maintain accurate records of support requests and solutions. Installation and Configuration, Install and configure software and hardware. Customer Service, provide excellent customer service and ensure client satisfaction. Remote Support, offer remote support for client networks and applications. Provide onsite technical support when required. Always promote Health & Safety in the workplace, displaying excellent personal safety and challenging others when unsafe behaviour is observed. This extends to ensuring all reports are aware of and behave in accordance with the company Health & Safety guidelines. To carry out other tasks as deemed necessary, that are within the job holder capability. Experience: Proven experience as a 1st Line Support Engineer or similar role. Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems, networking and hardware troubleshooting. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Teamwork: Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Flexibility: Willingness to work occasional weekends and evenings. Preferred Qualifications: Certifications: Any relevant certifications such as MCSE, MCSA, or CCNA. Software Knowledge: Experience with Microsoft Office 365 and Exchange Server.
