Despatch Operative

Crowders Nurseries, part of the RSK Group, is seeking to appoint a Despatch Operative on a temporary 6 month fixed term contract, to start in November 2024 based onsite in Horncastle, Lincolnshire. As part of a small, friendly team who pride themselves on working safely and accurately, you will be assisting with the picking and loading / unloading of customer orders during our busy season. We seek someone who is fit and willing to join in. Previous experience is not necessary although a driving licence would be useful. Crowders Nurseries began as a horticultural business in 1798 in Lincolnshire. We have been growing and nurturing plants for more than 220 years, steeped in the practices and techniques needed to produce plants with long lives of the highest quality. We aim to be the best horticultural specialists in our field, providing market-leading solutions for our customers ​Responsibilities: * Reporting to the Despatch Manager, the role is responsible for picking and packing container grown plants and trees for customer orders * Assemble orders and load onto vehicles for delivery * Ensure that products packed are to the required quality. You will receive instruction on what the correct quality looks like * Accurate counting of products picked * Stop and ask for help or advice if you are not sure about how to do something * Ensure that you understand how to work safely Requirements: * Full UK Driving Licence would be useful * Willing to work outside in all weather conditions * Able to reliably commute to Horncastle, LN9 5LZ * Warehouse or vehicle loading experience (preferred) * Interested in learning how to do a good job * Happy to follow instructions Salary and Benefits: * Salary £17,440 - £23,119 pro rata per annum depending on age * Pension contribution * flexible benefits RSK is an equal opportunities employer. #labourers #botany #rskfamily RSK will not accept unsolicited CVs from agencies other than RSK PSL or Secondary agencies
