Children, Young People & Family Support Worker

We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Children and Young People (CYP) & Family Support Workers to join our team in Wakefield. Key Responsibilities: Provide tailored support to Children, Young People, and Families in need, including those in crisis situations Deliver immediate crisis intervention and emotional support to individuals facing difficult circumstances Work closely with local authorities, schools, and other professionals to ensure holistic care Engage families in support plans, helping them to achieve positive outcomes even in high-pressure environments Safeguard and promote the welfare of Children and Young People, particularly during emergencies Work in accordance with local and national safeguarding policies Requirements: Minimum 2 years of experience working with Children, Young People, or Families in a support role, with experience in crisis intervention preferred NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent) is desirable Strong communication and interpersonal skills, especially in high-stress situations Ability to work independently and as part of a team, maintaining a calm and supportive approach in emergencies A good understanding of safeguarding principles Enhanced DBS check for children and adults is required Ability to provide 3 years of references PMVA Please note: We do not offer sponsorships and cannot accept applications from candidates requiring Skilled Worker Visas.
