Large Format Production Operative

We here at Siamo Recruitment are working with a market leader within the print industry, the client works with some of the most renowned F1 firms, Property Builders and Sporting Events. going through an exciting period of growth their production department is expanding and looking for a talent and driven Large Format Production Operative to join, and grow with the firm.   Being a specialist role our client requires exposure within the print industry specifically within the Large Format sector.   With a continuously growing firm management development and senior opportunities is available.   This Production Operative role offers a starting salary of £25,000 based upon a 40 hour week working. This is a day shift opportunity.   Our client offers the below benefits: Excellent progression and training programs 25 days + annual bank holiday leave entitlement Free on-site parking Company pension scheme Life insurance Cycle-to-work scheme  This Large Format Production Operative role will hold the below responsibilities: Receive print-ready artwork files from the studio, load into printing equipment and from job information provided. Print onto various sheet or roll fed material to quantity and quality required. Cut materials printed using cutting files supplied with job information through Flat Bed cutter, ensuring correct cutting tools required for the specific material are used. In addition, using company vinyl cutting equipment to finish self-adhesive lettering and logos. Laminate to various printed materials produced through the use of company laminating equipment, ensuring laminates are bubble free. Hand-finishing of signs including hem and eyeleting of banners, placing banners into cases, applying various double sided tapes to back of signs. In addition to working with self-adhesive vinyls cut through equipment, strip and tape finished lettering and logos ready for application. Packing of final products ready for shipping ensuring all parcels are robust and well packed. To include producing delivery notes and carrier labels ready for dispatch. Assisting with loading vehicles for signs to be delivered by company transport or shipped by carriers which also includes unloading material deliveries for business  This Large Format Production Operative role will require the below skills: A passion for the print industry Previous experience of working within a production environment Ideally at least 2 years’ experience working as a Large Format Signage Production Operative Proven record of working as part of a team is essential Skilled in Flat Bed and Roll Fed Printing and cutting Vutek Printer and Zund cutter experience would be an advantage
