Job DescriptionProject Controls ManagerSalary Range 85-100k Depending on ExperiencePrimarily remote with monthly travel across UK sitesOverview: We are looking for dedicated individuals with a proactive mindset, eager to grow and advance their careers, and possessing solid technical expertise within defense or other highly regulated industries.Key Responsibilities:Oversee project controls for infrastructure initiatives in the South West region.Lead the program controls function, ensuring the accuracy and consistency of plans, costs, safety measures, environmental impact, and performance reports. Strategically allocate controls team resources to maximize effectiveness.Evaluate new project proposals to ensure realistic and achievable plans are established for successful program delivery.Identify and address resourcing needs in collaboration with planning teams to resolve any staffing challenges.Provide continuous support to Program and Project Managers, offering insights on plans, costs, safety, environmental considerations, and overall program performance.Ensure that project teams and other stakeholders input data into cost and performance systems that meet required standards.Oversee the development and management of the Investment Plan, adhering to the Investment Competence Framework.Qualifications:The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in project controls across various sectors, covering the full project lifecycle. Expertise in two or more of the following disciplines is essential: Planning and Scheduling, Cost Estimation, Cost Management, Risk Management, or Reporting, along with proficiency in the associated software and tools.A deep understanding of integrated project controls and the ability to evaluate organizational maturity and processes is crucial.Skills and Attributes:Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire, manage, and mentor teams, fostering an inclusive and empowering environment.Passion for building community and support networks beyond your immediate role.Capable of making informed, risk-based decisions in situations with ambiguous or incomplete information.Flexible leadership style, adaptable to different audiences and responsive to uncertainty.Requirements:A degree in a relevant technical or management discipline, or equivalent qualifications and experience.Membership in a relevant professional body (e.g., APM, PMI).Proficient in Primavera P6Why join our client?Elevate your career to new heights in an environment that values your expertise and dedication.
