Role: Energy Management Project Manager

Location: Lancashire, UK (Hybrid - 2 days in office)

Salary: Up to £45,000 + Bonus/Commission + Training Allowance + Company benefits

Reporting to: Head of Energy Management


The Company:

MDE are once again proud to be working with this client who are a well-renowned Energy Management Consultancy who help businesses manage their energy use more effectively. Working across multiple industries, they work with clients who have complex energy management needs and this hire will help to address those through intense project planning and monitoring of the portfolio.


The Role:

They are on the lookout for a Project Manager who will work closely with all members of the Energy management and Account Management teams focusing on the origination and distribution of work streams and management of suppliers of energy efficiency projects in the UK.


This role will be an integral part of the Energy Management team and will be supporting the planning, execution, and completion of various projects and workflows for your clients. You will also be tasked with the development and implementation of Monitoring and verification reports for current and future clients and their delivered projects.


Responsibilities:

  • Project Coordination: Contributing to the creation of project plans, schedules, and financial forecasts.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Ensuring smooth communication between team members, stakeholders, and clients, keeping everyone aligned and up to date.
  • Record Keeping: Keeping thorough and current project documentation, including meeting summaries, progress updates, and timelines.
  • Task Oversight: Keeping an eye on project activities to ensure milestones are achieved on time and objectives are met.
  • Problem Solving: Proactively identifying obstacles and working with the team to implement effective solutions.
  • Resource Coordination: Helping manage and allocate resources efficiently to maintain a steady project workflow.
  • Quality Assurance: Supporting the team in delivering top-quality results by reviewing deliverables and ensuring accuracy, with a focus on consistent Monitoring and Verification reporting throughout the project's lifecycle.


What are we looking for?

We are looking for candidates who have 1-3 years + of working in a technical environment or Engineering role and have a degree background in Business Administration, Project Management, Engineering or another related field.


  • Skilled in creating detailed project schedules, timelines, and budget forecasts (Essential)
  • Experienced in using project management tools and methodologies, such as Asana, Trello, and Microsoft Project (Essential)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively facilitate collaboration among team members, stakeholders, and clients (Essential)
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and resources at the same time (Essential)
  • Skills in developing and reporting consistent Monitoring and Verification reports on delivered projects (Essential)
  • Willingness to engage in ongoing professional development and skill enhancement (Essential)
  • Hold a recognized project management qualification (PMP, PRINCE2) (Desirable)
  • Experience in energy management or a related industry, with a track record of successfully supporting the planning, execution, and completion of projects (Desirable)
