HGV Class 2 Refuse Collection Driver

M4 Recruitment are working with a leading waste management business who are looking for Class 2 drivers in Bristol and surrounding areas. Along with driving, the job may also consist of manual handling, moving the bins when necessary and helping out occasionally. Hours are Monday to Friday starting between 0600 and 0700 and finishing 14:30 or 15:30 respectively. Inductions are held every Tuesday and Wednesday for next 3 or 4 weeks. Pay is: £15.25 basic £22.88 overtime £30.50 Sunday and Bank Holiday After 12 weeks: £16.67 basic £25.01 overtime £33.34 Sunday and Bank Holiday The driver will be responsible for vehicle checks, using mobile IT equipment and completing daily paperwork. Sometimes you might also be required to work in various other departments, e.g. Recycling, Garden Waste, etc. Our ideal driver: - will have a good experience of HGV Class 2 driving (at least 1 year ideally) - have a good knowledge of tacho laws and regulations - Happy with manual labour if necessary The contract is temporary but could become permanent following a qualifying period.
