Hygiene Team Leader

Job Opportunity: Hygiene Team Leader Location: Rochester, Medway City Estate Salary: (Dependant on Experience) Hours: Monday to Friday, 6am until 4pm Duties: Oversee hygiene team members, ensuring full compliance with PPE requirements Identify and report any emerging issues to the Hygiene Manager promptly Address and document Food Safety and Health & Safety concerns, completing all relevant forms accurately Strive for Right first time cleaning standards by following established work instructions and safety protocols Conduct daily, weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc cleaning tasks as required Participate in daily GMP (Good Manufacturing Practise) audits Ensure hygiene operatives adhere to proper procedures when cleaning equipment Lead, mentor, and develop shift hygiene staff, fostering a proactive, safe, and effective work environment Conduct start-up and inspection checks of cleaning equipment, reporting any damages immediately Perform regular chemical checks Organise stock control and issue stock replenishment orders as neededIdeal Candidate: Proven supervisory experience within a production background Familiarity with COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) guidelines Strong numeracy and literacy skills, with an ability to follow instructions effectively Basic food safety knowledgeBenefits: Health care cash plan.
