GPS Recruitment have another permanent position with a valued and long-standing client, offering a field-based position to cover the South of England.

Are you an experienced Kitchen Fitter looking for a role with a little more of a customer care edge?

Carrying out VIP installations, training new TSS (fitters), auditing existing TSS (fitters) and issuing/PAT testing for all tools. We are not expecting anyone to tick all these skills and so full training & development will be given to reach the full job expectations.

You will continue to build the company s already successful relationships by being professionally presentable and promoting the Company s high standards of service throughout the areas. We are looking to speak with individuals who are hands on, able to complete high-end fitouts whilst also having the skills to shadow and oversee the development of the installation teams. The role will involve overnight stays but no more than 1/2 days in a week.

Being a self-motivated individual with strong, positive communication and coordination skills will definitely help you succeed in the role.

Key duties:

  • Managing private purchase projects.
  • Supervising the installation of key installations including VIP private purchases.
  • Carrying out New Fitter inductions including issuing of tools, PPE, uniform and training on procedures.
  • Auditing installation teams in the field, including Portable Appliance Testing and vehicle audits.
  • Carrying out new product testing and assessments.
  • Building exhibition displays.

Personal skills:

  • Ability to communicate confidently and courteously with people at all levels.
  • Self-motivated and willing to work as part of a dynamic team.
  • Skills to manage multiple projects positively.
  • Able to work under pressure to maintain deadlines.
  • Experience of working within fast- track building processes and the furniture industry.
  • Knowledge of installations, including previous kitchen fitting experience.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Experience of managing and coordinating subcontract labour.
