We are looking for a highly motivated Operations/Production Manager to join a market leading manufacturer in their respective field. An exciting opportunity for a skilled Operations/Production Manager to join a well-established company and Production team. As Operations/Production Manager, you will be tasked with the running and continuous improvement of the Production Department. You will be a strong man-manager with a comprehensive operations/production background within a manufacturing/production environment. This role will appeal to an autonomous individual with a comprehensive idea of how to run a successful Production team within a pressurised environment. This position will appeal to a strong manager looking for their next challenging role within a secure and stable company.

Role Description -

  • Oversee day-to-day production operations, ensuring all products meet strict quality and safety standards.
    Ensure full compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) regulations across the facility, fostering a safety-first culture.
    Develop, implement, and monitor best practices in food safety, quality control, and hygiene standards in line with industry regulations and company policies.
    Collaborate with the General Manager to drive strategic initiatives focused on operational excellence, process improvement, and waste reduction.
    Take responsibility for supporting the technical team in maintaining the standards of the quality management system, ensuring full compliance with relevant industry standards, including BRC and other certifications.
    Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce downtime, and optimize costs.
    Develop and implement training programs to ensure staff are fully versed in HSE protocols and quality standards.
    Monitor production schedules and resource allocation to meet deadlines and production targets.
    Troubleshoot and resolve production issues to minimize impact on output and product quality.
    Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation in production processes.

Qualifications/Experience -

  • Extensive experience in a manufacturing management role, ideally within the food production industry.
    Strong working knowledge of Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) regulations, with a proven track record of maintaining rigorous safety standards.
    Expertise in managing high-quality standards in production, including food safety, BRC, and hygiene practices.
    Proven ability to lead production teams, with strong problem-solving skills.
    In-depth understanding of production processes.
    Effective communication and leadership skills, with the ability to drive performance and promote a positive working environment.
