Our valuation advice covers all aspects of valuing companies, income generating assets, listed and unlisted securities, derivatives, debt, asset backed securities, intellectual property, and intangible assets.The UK Valuation team is a key member of Grant Thornton’s global valuation practice. This provides access to a global tam of dedicated valuation professionals in most major geographic markets and jurisdictions.We’re happy to talk flexible working and consider reduced hours and job shares, we’ll support you to balance your work and life. A look into the role As a Manager within our Valuations team, you will: Explain and address complex valuation issues informed by a good working knowledge of valuation standards, guidelines and financial reporting standards.Articulate risk areas and value drivers of a client’s businesses by summarizing company, industry and other market information used to support the analysis in the valuation conclusions and reporting   Be at the forefront of client service, building and maintaining rapport with clients, communicate with clients effectively during each project and play your role in challenging discussionsHave a keen focus on project delivery, managing smaller engagements from enquiry to completion in addition to managing your own time when prioritizing commitments across multiple projectsBe the key liaison between the valuation team, a wider Grant Thornton project team and International member firm involvementBe a support/role model for all junior members of the team, supporting their own development on projects by providing coaching on valuation issues and report writing and by providing constructive and timely feedback Research and develop training material and deliver sessions to the wider team to strengthen each and everyone in the team by sharing relevant knowledgeSeek to develop your own specialism and strengthen your own network and relationships to help generate new and exciting valuation opportunities to engage the whole team Knowing you’re right for us Joining us as a Manager, the minimum criteria you’ll need is to have:Valuations experience in S&P Capital IQ (or similar database experience)Strong attention to detail and be focused on delivering high-quality work and analysisExperience of managing and training junior team membersAct as main contact on client engagementsIt would be great if you had some of the following skills, but don’t worry if you don’t tick every box, we’ll help you develop along the way.  ACA / ACCA / CFA qualified or equivalentA genuine interest in our clients.
