Service Manager

Commissioning Manager / Service Manager / Engineering Manager required to join a global, leading engineering manufacturer. The successful Commissioning Manager / Service Manager / Engineering Manager will lead and supervise a team of Commissioning / Service Engineers, ensuring their performance aligns with company standards and customer expectations. Based in Sunderland, you will oversee Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) for hydrogen compressed air systems, supervise PLC programming, and ensure successful commissioning and service operations for high-pressure systems across various customer sites in Europe. The Commissioning Manager / Service Manager / Engineering Managerwill ideally have a HNC/HND in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with supervisory experience, strong PLC programming skills (Siemens TIA Portal preferred), and expertise in managing Field Service Engineers or operations in engineering. Commissioning Engineers with hydrogen compressed air expertise are also encouraged to apply. Train and support customers on hydrogen compressed air system use and maintenance, providing aftercare solutions. Office based in Sunderland Liaise with various engineering departments. Commissioning Manager / Service Manager / Engineering ManagerRequirements Experience managing Field Service Engineers and / or managing operations within engineering Strong knowledge of PLC programming (Siemens TIA Portal preferred) and hazardous area safety protocols. Commissioning Engineers with hydrogen, compressed air or similar experience are encouraged to apply. Expertise in high-pressure gas systems and Lean principles or managing service teams within an engineering / manufacturing setting.
