Business Data Analyst Underwriting software

NB: Candidates who do not have permanent RTW in the UK cannot be considered This is a LONDON-based hybrid role THE OPPORTUNITY Burgeoning MGU with highly invested US parent, seeks to expand it's DATA ANALYTICS team. Working to provide a competitive edge to their MGA underwriting colleagues, this role calls for specialist business / data analysis and visualisation skills. THE CHALLENGE Working in a highly pressurised, delivery-focused team of specialists, you will - work closely with all elements of the business : underwriting, technology, sales, operations - support the maturation of the data analytics function (technical platform, range of data and visualisation tools developed for the underwriters and management teams) - develop deep understanding of the drivers across the business where specialist data insights will improve efficiencies and enhance profitability - collaborate with your team, but with a high degree of self management, and drive for success - work with complex data sets - validating, cleansing, enriching - support the digitalisation of the xdata collection and analysis process, leveraging best practice - communicate effectively across the business on data metrics and reports OPTIMAL CANDIDATE MATCH You will need to have demonstrable evidence of the following experience and skills: an understanding of acquiring and administering commercial or London Market insurance risk, and managing claims prior experience working in policy or programme administration ability to play a range of roles related to gathering requirements, defining an delivering data metrics, reporting platforms, dashboards and models in support of accurate tracking of underwriting and claims performance proficiency in BI and data visualisation tools (PowerBI, Tableau, Domo, Qlik) proficiency in Python, SQL (and SQL Server) and Excel The role calls for an undergraduate degree in Mathematics, Engineering, Statistics, Data Science or similar majors A minimum of 3 years experience in business data analysis, ideally within the Insurance sector Culture fit - this role is best suited to someone who thrives in a fast paced, high growth, non hierarchical environment, and has a track record of excellence.
