Location: Covering Midlands/Eastern region D&IS projects, ideally suited for someone based near Derby, Cambridge, York, or East Midlands. Overview: Join the UK&I Quality Team to support Project Delivery across the D&IS Business, encompassing a wide range of Signalling and Infrastructure Projects. The team includes Project, Engineering, Industrial, and QMS Quality Managers, with connections to Supplier Quality Assurance across the UK, including Hub Sites in Hatfield, Derby, and Plymouth. Role Responsibilities: This role involves supporting assigned projects by coordinating all quality and safety activities, including: Managing Gate Review processes. Producing Safety Authorisation Reports for Commissioning. Conducting audits, managing non-conformance, and leading Quality Investigations using 8D Problem Solving. Ensuring Customer Satisfaction and effective project delivery. Utilising Return of Experience to drive performance improvements. With the D&IS Footprint expanding rapidly in the UK&I, our teams are growing to support new projects, offering an exciting opportunity to join our expanding team. Key Responsibilities: Support Project Management Gate Reviews: Learn and utilise Project Management Processes and Tools to ensure project delivery. Create Safety Authorisation Reports: Develop Technical Reports to ensure safety during Commissioning. Lead Investigations Using 8D Problem Solving: Ensure safety, customer satisfaction, and cost efficiency. Support Customer Satisfaction Surveys and Improvement Plans: Focus on achieving high customer satisfaction. Contribute to APSYS Improvement Plans: Deploy and enhance processes to ensure operational excellence. Qualifications and Experience: Educational Requirements: Desirable: Membership in the Chartered Quality Institute (CQI) with Chartered Quality Professional status. BTEC HNC/HND in Engineering/Quality Management. IRCA certified lead auditor. Experience: Mandatory: Proven experience in managing quality, audits, and problem-solving tools. Experience in quality management within construction and infrastructure projects. Track record in supporting project delivery and project management teams. Competencies & Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Tools, databases, and administrative tasks. Knowledgeable in Rail Industry practices or other safety-critical industries (e.g., aerospace, automotive, oil and gas). Strong communication skills, understanding of Quality standards (ISO9001, IRIS, CMMI, ECM, etc.), and quality tools. Ability to collaborate and work effectively in teams
