Senior Quantity Surveyor A great opportunity for a experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor looking to advance your career in the Residential Sector. About the role of Senior Quantity Surveyor You will be responsible for the commercial and surveying responsibilities for large Sites. Effectively manage costs for the site, and ensure targets are met by managing and controlling the budget and valuations, including monthly updating of the estimated final costs, and to show absolute cost and value reconciliation. Responsible for managing all sub-contractor procedures and processes, and materials and goods if necessary. The responsibilities of a Senior Quantity Surveyor Maintain all cost control procedures working within the guidelines set out within the Group policies and procedures Be responsible for the compilation of all weekly, monthly and quarterly reports as required Be aware of new materials and methods of construction which the company may employ, as well as a sound knowledge of latest regulations, codes of practice and NHBC requirements Ensure that subordinates receive the required training and mentorship for them to learn and thrive in their responsibilities Be responsible for all cost control procedures, including managing and controlling the budget and valuations by always updating the estimated final costs, and having the ability to show absolute cost and value reconciliation Be able to control all commercial tasks and responsibilities on large Sites, including those in excess of 200 units Contribute to the conceptual designs/options to ensure the design is kept within the budgeted values Compile Site Start budget, liaising with all Departments to ensure document is completed on time to allow the construction to commence, and Sales to start marketing Requirements for Senior Quantity Surveyor Qualified to HND level or higher with a valid CSCS card Proven track record in similar role or at the level of Quantity Surveyor Must have a full understanding of current market conditions and rates Must be able to control cost to complete on all trades and on all provisions to ensure live cost certainly Highly numerate with excellent attention to detail, able to gather, interpret and present data to facilitate preparation of budgets and subsequent valuations What we offer for this Senior Quantity Surveyor role Salary up to £70k-£75k Competitive Bonus Scheme Company Car or Cash Allowance Private Medical Scheme - Single Cover Annual Medical Health Assessment 26 days holiday (increase by 1 day for every 3 years continuous service up to 29 days) If you want to hear more about this Senior Quantity Surveyor role please apply with an up-to-date copy of your CV or contact Aaron Bauckham in our Brighton Office on or call on (phone number removed)
