Commercial Manager - Energy from Waste

Commercial Manager – Fuel Supply Excellent salary on offer + bonus + benefits package Kent MC Technical Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Commercial Manager / Fuel Supply Manager to join one of the leading businesses in the energy from waste sector. With a focus on the southeast and an EFW near Sittingbourne, the Commercial Manager will be responsible for sourcing sufficient fuel for the facility, managing fuel contracts and overseeing key projects to ensure the facility operations at optimum capacity at all times. The role is remote but the successful candidate will be required to visit site several times per week so the ability to commute to the Sittingbourne area on a regular basis is required. Reporting into the Head of Fuel Management, you will be responsible for: Actively sourcing waste to ensure optimum operation of the EFW plant Build supplier relationships, negotiate contracts and identify waste opportunities Scheduling and managing waste delivery, ensuring compliance with contracts and adjusting volumes when required. Manage the waste revenue portion of the P&L and contributing to setting budgets Maintain market knowledge, analyse trends and ensure compliance with legislation and regulations Oversee and delivery strategic projects relating to waste & fuel supply in line with the company business plan To be considered for this role you should have: 5+ years of experience in a similar level role in the waste management or recycling industry Experience involving managing waste / fuel / feed stock quality Experience in sales, business development or procurement in the waste industry Experience of dealing with multiple stakeholders and external parties at one time Significant contract management experience An understanding of the UK waste industry and relevant policies Strong relationship management, negotiation and networking skills A full UK driving licence is essential for the role due to the travel required to site Salary and benefits: The Commercial Manager comes with the following: A competitive basic salary depending on experience A performance related bonus A company pension Private medical and dental cover 25 days holiday + 8 BH More information on the package can be gained on request.
