Site Supervisor Civil Engineering - Highways maintenance & Structures Nationwide - must be able to report to Wakefield Yard We are a specialist bridge maintenance company operating across the whole of the UK for Highways England, Transport Scotland, main contractors and local authorities on the motorway, trunk road and road networks. We carry out maintenance and repairs to bridges and other highway structures which include installing bridge expansion joints, bridge deck waterproofing, bridge bearings and concrete repairs. About the role of Site Supervisor We are looking for applicants to oversee our Maintenance team who are responsible for undertaking a range of tasks including cleaning / jet washing, graffiti removal, de-vegetating, clearing drainage areas, removing debris, sealing cracks or joints etc… This is covering work predominantly in the Yorkshire area however due to the fluctuating nature of our work you may be required to work away - Must be able to report to the yard in Wakefield. The work involves working as part of a larger team and involves working both day and night shift patterns (Mon-Fri) across the UK. Monthly salary is paid, and an annual bonus is paid subject to certain quality, behaviour and quality targets being met by both the individual and company. Overtime for weekends is regularly available subject to stand-down where required. A flexible approach to working is required due to the nature of our works on roads and bridges. The work may involve the use of machinery, specialist plant and equipment and working with hazardous/hot materials. Full UK Driving License is essential, and candidates must be willing to travel, stay away from home and work nights. Our on-boarding process will require a 15mins interview and subject to initial approval requires candidates to complete a health check which includes drug and alcohol declarations. Candidates then attend an interview and if made a provisional offer, you will need to undertake 2 training modules (manual handling and a general health & safety awareness) before we confirm a start date.
