Cloud Security Architect

Job Title: Cloud Security Architect Location: Fully Remote Contract Duration: 6 months renewable contract Overview: We are seeking a Cloud Security Architect with a minimum of 3 years of experience in AWS, Azure, or GCP and a proven track record in cloud migration projects. This is a 6-month, full-time, fully remote contract role where you will be responsible for designing and implementing secure cloud architectures and ensuring compliance with industry standards. Key Responsibilities: Design and implement secure cloud architectures for AWS, Azure, or GCP. Lead security efforts during cloud migration projects, focusing on data and application protection. Develop and enforce cloud security policies and best practices. Collaborate with engineering and DevOps teams to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines. Conduct security assessments and ensure alignment with frameworks like NIST, CIS, and Zero Trust. Implement security controls for IAM, encryption, network security, and data protection. Stay current with cloud security trends and proactively mitigate risks. Required Skills & Qualifications: 3+ years of hands-on experience in cloud security (AWS, Azure, or GCP). Proven experience with cloud migration projects. Strong understanding of cloud security services (IAM, encryption, firewalls, monitoring). Knowledge of compliance standards (GDPR, HIPAA, SOC 2, PCI-DSS). Experience with security tools like CloudTrail, GuardDuty, or Azure Security Center. Familiarity with security frameworks (NIST CSF, CIS Controls, Zero Trust Architecture). Automation experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar. Cloud security certifications (AWS, Azure, GCP) preferred.
