Our partner is a revolutionary aircraft startup who are doing something very different. Their products satisfy long-unfulfilled demand in the aviation market. They are looking for a skilled, self-motivated Mechanical Stress Engineer to lead current and future engineering programs. Key Qualifications: BSc/BEng in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering 5+ years of relevant mechanical analysis experience Proficiency in FEA mechanical analysis (ANSYS) Strong understanding of transient thermal loads and load interactions Experience in rig testing and damage tolerance assessments (preferred) Team-oriented with a problem-solving mindset Responsibilities: Perform mechanical assessments of aircraft and engine components to ensure compliance with life and integrity standards. Create mechanical models using MathCAD and 2D/3D FEA for component analysis. Collaborate with design teams to optimize component performance. Assess component life and integrity throughout design, testing, validation, certification, and in-service phases. Conduct LCF/HCF lifting, crack propagation, and damage tolerance assessments. Support and analyse rig testing for design verification and certification. Prepare technical documentation and certification reports.
