Job Title: SEMH Teaching Assistant (TA) Location: Leeds Salary: GBP85 - GBP95 per day Job Type: Full-Time, Term-Time Only Start Date: Immediately About the Role: Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEMH Teaching Assistant to join a specialist SEMH school in Leeds. This full-time role focuses on supporting students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, helping them to engage with their learning and overcome behavioural challenges. Key Responsibilities: · Providing 1:1 and group support to pupils with SEMH needs, helping them manage their emotions and behaviours within the school environment. · Supporting the class teacher and SENCO in delivering tailored interventions and strategies that promote positive learning experiences. · Building strong, positive relationships with students to improve their engagement, emotional wellbeing, and overall development. · Implementing behaviour management techniques and creating a nurturing, safe learning space. Requirements: · Team Teach qualification is essential (you must have completed the training or be willing to complete it before starting the role). · Previous experience working with students with SEMH needs, particularly those with emotional, behavioural, or mental health challenges. · Patience, empathy, and the ability to remain calm in challenging situations. · Excellent communication skills and a commitment to making a difference in the lives of young people.
