Job: Senior Residential Worker Location: Hingham Salary: Earning potential up to £34,500 Role: Full-time, Permanent    Are you experienced in providing exceptional care and support to children and young people? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a Senior Residential Worker.    We are collaborating with a reputable children's residential care provider dedicated to offering outstanding care and support to children and young people. In our Children’s Residential Homes located in Hingham, we create a secure and nurturing environment where children can thrive and achieve their full potential.    As a Senior Residential Worker, you will play a key role in leading the care team and ensuring the highest standards of care are maintained. You will provide guidance, support, and mentorship to junior staff members while also directly supporting the children and young people in our care.    Key Responsibilities of the Senior Residential Worker: Lead and supervise the care team, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to junior staff members. Oversee day-to-day operations within the residential setting, ensuring the physical, emotional, and social needs of the children and young people are met. Act as a role model for the team, demonstrating professionalism, empathy, and a commitment to promoting the welfare of children and young people. Develop and implement individual care plans in collaboration with the wider team and external professionals, ensuring the needs of each child are met. Facilitate regular team meetings and provide ongoing training and development opportunities to staff members. Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with regulatory standards and company policies. Liaise with external agencies and professionals involved in the care of the children, ensuring effective communication and a coordinated approach to support. Qualifications and Requirements: Previous experience working with children and young people in a residential care setting, with demonstrable leadership skills. A compassionate and caring nature, with a genuine interest in the well-being and development of children and young people. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, colleagues, and external professionals. Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team. Patience, resilience, and the ability to remain calm in challenging situations. Commitment to promoting the welfare and safeguarding of children and young people. Flexibility to work on a shift basis, including weekends and evenings.
