An established Building Consultancy are seeking a Senior Building Surveyor to join their diverse and dynamic business in the North East.
The Company:
The company work across commercial and social housing projects across the North of England, valued between £200K-£5M.
Typical duties include:

Assisting the expert witness surveying team in undertaking surveys to support clients position on housing disrepair claims

Advise on energy efficiency, environmental impact and sustainable construction.

Prepare plans, drawings, contracts, budgets, reports and other documentation as required.

Manage projects and/or multi-disciplinary teams.

Understand and record life cycle costs of buildings and their condition.

Ensure that health and safety arrangements and policy are understood and adhered to.
Requirements:

Degree level qualification in Building Surveying - MCIOB, MRICS would be advantageous
-
Strong knowledge of undertaking surveys of residential housing stock

Undertake a variety of surveys from specific defect reports to full building surveys
-
Strong skills in building pathology and surveying for dampness in residential properties, is highly desirable.

IT literate

Good AutoCAD skills

A good understanding of regulations and legislation, health & safety and codes of practices
